Northwoods manufactuing works hard at teaching students about the career opportunites in manufacturing today. We like to take numerous field trips each year to a number ouf our local industries. This year the Hurley school put on a career day for our students and many of those careers were in manufacturing. Here at Northwoods Manufacturing we teach two separate curriculums at this time. For our metals division we use the National institute for metal working skills curriculum. Our facilty has seen quite a transformation in our first three years of operation. However we are never finished upgrading our facity and the technology that we use to teach our students. Northwoods Manufacturing is in the process of starting a foundation which will help us purchase machinery upgrade our facility and help make important disisions regarding our program. Mold Making Challenge
Northwoods Manufactuing has installed a 28 ton injection molding machine into its shop. We would like to thank Extreme tool and engineering for their donation of this machine. We plan to have the students come up with a idea for a product this year. Over the summer and throught next year we hope to build and test our first mold.
